Other than "are you available?", below is a listing of some of the questions we are frequently asked.
Do you require us to be married at your location/Do you have a location we can use/rent?
We do not own our own location, but we have secured an agreement with Kristin's Riverwalk in Downtown Stevens Point for you to use Kristin's banquet room at a reasonable cost. For more information or availablity, please call Kristin at (715) 341-8178. She would be happy to set an appointment for you to visit her and see what she has available.
Does your agreement with Kristin's Riverwalk affect where you will perform a ceremony?
No. We will still travel to your location, but we wanted to offer you an additional option that was not available before. We are constantly trying to improve our service to you and meet your needs.
Do you stay for dinner?
This depends. While we try to honor as many requests for blessings with the dinner as we can, it is not always possible. If you would like us to stay with you for dinner, please ask in advance, we will honor your request if we can.
Do you stay for pictures?
Yes, we are availalbe for pictures after the ceremony. If you would like formal pictures with us, please ask. We would be happy to allow your photographer to pose us and click away.
Do you require that some kind of religion be in our wedding ceremony?
No. We have written and performed weddings that range from very traditional to very secular. We are open to people of all faiths, or none at all. Just let us know what you expect from your wedding ceremony and we will do our best to capture that. If we get it wrong, let us know and we will fix it.
Why do you charge separately for rehearsals?
We charge a separate fee for rehearsals because some couples do not want one, some couples have a wedding planner that is going to run the rehearsal, and some couples want to run their own rehearsal. If you would like us to be at your rehearsal, just let us know. We will be sure that some one is there to help you walk through your ceremony and ensure that everyone in your wedding party knows his or her job.
Do we have to write our own vows?
No, but that option is available if you would like to express your love for each other in a way that is from the heart. If you choose this option, we ask that you have your vows to us two weeks before your reserved ceremony time. This is so we can include your words in the ceremony and avoid any embarrassing slip ups on our part.
Do we have to use only what you show us as examples?
Again, no, we realize that when it comes to expressing your love for and your dedication to each other, finding the right words may be difficult. We encourage you to look through what we have, and use it if it fits, but also to look on line or in books for those perfect words for you and your beloved. When you find those perfect words, send us a copy and we'll put them in the right place for you. If you can't find those perfect words, let us know and we'll help you write them.
Do you do wedding planning too?
No, we are not wedding planners, but if you need help finding one, let us know. We know of a few good people who would be willing to help you plan your day from the ceremony to the last dance.
Why should we participate in premarital counseling?
That is best answered by you. Many couples take premarital counseling for various reasons, but the most common is to be prepared.
Do you offer other services?
Yes. We offer services for all of life's celebrations. Baby namings, baptisms, house blessings, and end of life celebrations (commonly called funerals), to name a few. If you have a life celebration you would like honor, please call us. We would be happy to help you design a ceremony for all of the things in life you wish to celebrate.
